I love the last panel.

Motherly Mona! Who would have guessed? –Very touching (pun included free of charge).

Woah! Who’d have thought Mona would soften up?! I’m liking this story :)

Actually, if he never changes, that justifies her decision to dump him.

Right. They say never change and then spend all their time trying to change you. And then get upset when you don’t.

So either she’s moving to Hawaii or he’s going to be miserable in LALA Land.

Who was it that said Women get married thinking they can change him and men marry hoping she won’t? sumpin like that

Hey I gave up on tryna change men waaaay back in my early 20s…you take it or you leave it…

Actually, if she’s gotten to the point where she can accept him AS HE IS, then they have a chance.

If, on the other hand, she’s deciding they aren’t for each other, at least they’re parting ways with positive feelings for each other. And that’s not so bad either.

Oh my… That second panel is the “acceptance of the truth” look.. almost regretful acceptance?

But what truth? I guess we must continue to follow the story to find out.

Although, I must say, M. Smokey, that if you ever see that second panel look directed your way, you had better hop for the hills.

Now we see the sweet gooey center hidden by that crusty, abrasive outter shell.

I agree that we’ll probably get an “I-love-you-goodbye” in the next couple of days.

“We’ll always have Honolulu” Recognized that from the movie, but not the rest – has the right sound though. Are you quoting from the book?

Oops! “Here’s looking at you, kid!” Forty year old high school French has it’s limits!

The rest of it is cobbled together from “Shakespeare In Love”, and translated (probably poorly) with an online translator.

In English, it would be:
