Now I could pay $50 for a seat at the Garden to watch a Bruins’ game, shell out $7 for a program, the same for a beer and $5 for a barely steamed generic hot dog (oh, and by the way, $20 or more for parking) …
… or I can take in a minor league or college hockey game, pay $10 for a great seat, little or nothing for parking, $2 for a program and no more than $5 for a drink and a hot dog. And what I see are people really, really interested in winning and playing hard, not a bunch of overpaid prima donnas.
And the people in the stands are blue collar fans who go to every game, not a bunch of suits chatting on their cell phones sitting in the company’s seats and unsure which team is which.
Give it a try. You’ll never want to pay for another so-called “big” league game again.
Raven, you are no WINGS fan. Explains why the Brus are where they are. We only buy a championship every three years or so…3, if you had my football team’s secondary, you’d know losing is NOT entertaining…And those minor league franchises, all owned or affiliated with the majors, so you’re giving them a few of the cents on that ticket, too…And college cheap? You never been to a Michigan game.

Agree 100% with Ravenswing. The same applies to baseball, only more so. Minor league baseball is the best sporting bargain available.
