“Palette” is the board that a painter holds to keep a selection of colors available. “Palate” is the roof of the mouth and is euphemistically associated with he discernment of flavor & texture in food & drink.
Because it’s in a voice bubble, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t intended as a pun….

I always considered myself to not be terribly fussy as to what I put in my mouth and swallow. My wife and friends do not agree. I usually like things basic. I don’t like fancy sauces or elaborate dishes; just bring me a steak or pork chop and leave all the extra crap off. I don’t know about fig newtons, but Flying Wedge makes a pizza with figs and hot peppers on it, and it is incredible.
