I said no... And I mean no umbrellas!!!! At the Battle of Bayonne in 1813, the Duke of Wellington banned his officers from carrying umbrellas before the enemy because they look ridiculous and un-military. Drinks... Or else!! Fyodor Romodanovsky, the head of the Russian secret police under Tsar Peter the Great, untrained bears to serve guests drawing peppered alcohol at his parties- and attack them if they didn't drink it! Mustache transplants are popular in Turkey!

I think it’s ok for the Marines to use an umbrella as part of their duties, but they are not allowed for personal use.

Romodanovsky’s bear was his plan to keep parties small and costs down… I wonder, did he use chili pepper or peppercorns…

Douchbag ? Hey Kraky bashing 0 is in vogue now, even the Dems are doing it! Now the umbrella, they were to be issued to the Marines to carry, but most rejected this as too sissified. I do not see where a Marine in uniform is required to hold an umbrella over the heads of anybody including the First Family!

Please keep your vitriolic political opinions to yourself. I’ll grant you, you have the right to your opinions, no matter how wrong they are, but you are unbelievably uncouth to show disrespect to our president.and to those of us who do not share your views.

Duke Ellington, a transplant from Turkey, was once mauled by a drunk bear in Bayonne, New Jersey. For the rest of his life, he hid the scars behind a fake moustache.
