I stopped even handing my card for the person. every time I do they tell me they don’t need to see it. If I insist they look at me like I’m the biggest most difficult customer they had that day. bugs the hell out of me.
Especially if I try to pay with a check that same check out person will want to see a photo id.

never sign your cards. if they ask for id… you got it. and no big deal if they don’t.

actually some companies have a statement on the back of credit cards stating “photo ID required” when using their card

More than once I’ve stared wide eyed at cashiers when they don’t even glance at the card to compare signatures…better yet, some don’t even require me to sign the chit.
I do like this cashier’s attitude though.
