I think they’ve all passed away in the night, and the “nurse” is actually an angel. Soon, they will be visited by the Hospital Administrator.

Is that hospital stuck in the 50’s? Glass thermometer, and when did you last see a nurse wear a cap? “Sound as a dollar”?

The entire strip is stuck in the 50’s. Maybe that’s what we like about it?

If she really wanted them to feel better they’d have said that he was as sound as the CANADIAN Dollar…now worth more than the US Peso….err Dollar.

Where is daughter, Judy. If Walt was as sick as thought in the beginning, Judy would have been called in. How come we don’t hear anything of her? j

You don’t fire Gertie for the only thing she did right in years, That said, time to find Walt an assisted care facility.

setebos– Did Greenstreet play the role of God in a movie? Or the role of an actual hospital administrator? I had to google the name, and found that Greenstreet was partially the inspiration for the Jabba the Hutt character in Return of the Jedi! That’s a character I find it difficult to reflect upon, as my mind keeps skipping immediately over to Princess Leia in that bikini-thing.

You had to GOOGLE the name of Sidney Greenstreet!

I guess you never saw Casablanca, or the Maltese Falcon.

One of the most distinctive character actors from Hollywood’s golden age (and, no, I wasn’t around then; they were before my time, too), and nobody knows him.

Not surprising, I guess, considering today’s “stars” include Looney Tunes like Dog the Bounty Hunter and Glenn Beck.

And yes, I do watch a lot of DVDs.

Maybe George Burns would make a better Hospital Administrator, he’s had experience. Hope you won’t need to Google him Axe, he’s not so far back as the Fat Man.

Nighty, I have seen those movies, but didn’t remember the actor’s name. I’m not a big movie watcher, but I plan to be if I make it to retirement— if retirement still exists then.

Dypak, yes, George Burns would make a fine Hospital Administrator in my scenario.
