Communist Vietnam had no air force and no navy and an impoverished, slow army. USAmerica had the richest supplies and fastest and most expensive weapons, and complete control of the skies, air superiority, and seas, naval superiority. Did USA try to eradicate communists as with previous attempts by others to eradicate Jews? USAmerica lost. Saigon is Ho Chi Minh City. Slow and steady and moral superiority wins the race.
You might want to consider doing a little research on the Viet Cong before you ascribe moral superiority to them. Regardless, the U.S. failed in Vietnam because the political will to commit to a military victory simply didn’t exist. The North Vietnamese were a determined people fighting for the unification of their homeland and we were fighting out of a vague sense of dread. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out how that’s going to end.

Aesop’s Fables was one of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons. T-Rex would’ve loved that show.
