    When I’m in the dark, I use echolocation and thermolocation.Brewster’s in the dark so often I’m surprised he doesn’t navigate better.

    You need short, sharp sounds for echolocation. I always practice when going to bed late, and use my tongue to make clicking sounds. Almost anyone can hear the difference in tone between a click in a large room, and a click in a hallway. With practice, humans can resolve furniture sized objects (as opposed to the much more impressive insect sized objects for bats).
