So is it too cold, as evidenced by the first two panels, or too hot, as evidenced by the Wiz’s comment in the last panel? What are the two items Blanch leans against the table? Cheeze graters? This strip makes no sense.

They are the refrigerator shelves.

Me neither….

So she can fit inside, because he has the heat on too high in the residential area of their residence. Oh, and Rosebud was the name of his sled.

What’s cold for someone is hot for someone else.

It is warmer in the fridge than outside

It’s cold outside the Wiz’s lab has no glass in the window (maybe for easy access to the elements) to compensate he has turned the internal heat up really high, Blanche can’t cope with the heat so she removed everything from the fridge, the two things leaning against the table are the wire shelves you get in some fridges (not the more modern glass shelves) otherwise it would be difficult to climb in… It all makes perfect sense…. But then I am crazy ;-)The message is that autumn is really here now and people all over the northern hemisphere are behaving in these two typical ways.

Blanche may also be going through “the change”. Hot flashes are enough to make a sane person want to climb into a fridge.

Spirit is cold so, he turns the heat way up then blanche notices it is too hot so she decides to defrost the Fridge. The two things are ice cube trays. My take … Hee Hee

This one is a little vague. Moral of the story: if you’re cold – put on sleeves; if you’re hot put on short sleeves & turn on a fan. We’ve gone from shorts to parkas this past week.

Ice cube trays would have come out of the freezer.

Ohhhhh, now I get it!.Old age will do that to ya…

frequently the first line of panels on Sunday, while related to the strip’s theme, are not part of the actual story (see last week when the strip opened with two birds talking, then switched to the crazy weather forecast at the castle tower).

So to me – it’s not crazy that the spirit panels aren’t in line with Blanche’s heat. (and yes, I’ve wanted to climb into the ’fridge a few times myself – so that makes sense too!) :)

@felinefan55, she is not having a hot flash. Blanche is having her own personal summer.

It’s a little early for cold jokes. We’ve got a whole 6 months of the stuff!
