For kids, Christmas can’t come soon enough. Dec. 26th and kids are already starting the count-down til the next Dec. 25

Christmas is a very discouraging holiday when you can barely afford the necessities of life.

One year, my mother found a recipe for sugar plums. They were a lot of work, tasted awful, and gave us the trots. After that, “visions of sugar plums” had an entirely different meaning

When did today’s strip originally appear? The 1980s?Things have definitely not improved since then. It was only mid-October this year when Christmas-themed commercials began airing, which were nothing but a disguised push for all this “Black Friday” nonsense. The U.S. Thanksgiving Day is quickly becoming a thing of the past ever since the major retailers decided in 2013 to be open on that day. This year the supermarkets in my area are open for the first time ever on Thanksgiving.It just keeps getting worse. At this rate, holidays will probably be non-existent within a decade or two.Enough about that. Will we see Elly’s coworker Sue again? She’s cute.
