The projectile was hurled with such deadly force
Not even the window frame could stay its course
I hope that you don’t think I’m being snide
But it looks like it was hurled from the inside
Is Tracy’s bedroom window the one upstairs
‘cause if it is that one has its panes in pairs
We are doomed to another mindless story
One that further strips Tracy from his glory
But we will gather like magpies a chattering
And our comments will be less than flattering.
At some point between yesterday and today a city crew came out and laid a sidewalk in front of the house.
They must have declared eminent domain and took most of Tracy’s front yard as right of way. This would explain the missing garage as it would be torn down for illegally sitting on city property. Once it was torn down the front of the house had to be redesigned and landscaped.
Some irate tea Baggers hearing of the new side walk construction and pissed that their tax dollars were going to redesign the house of a City employee came riding by in their AMC Teabag mobile and started throwing stale bread at the house insisting that Sara Palin told them it was ok.
Tracy meanwhile was laying in bed contemplating being in a play which had started as a murder mystery weekend until the original location was seized by the city government to build a new alleyway. The mystery weekend was such a good idea that it was briefly considered as the basis for a reality show but the deal fell through and now its a play.
Tracy is afraid the play will interfere with his important police work such as finding out who kidnapped Chief Liz and replaced her with Jason Biber.
Tracy’s thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a scream from the kitchen where Tess had gone for a snack , rushing from his bed Tracy found Tess on the floor with a small piece of stale bread sticking out of her…..
Next week The Fate of Tess !!!!
I think that clears up all the mysteries so far or am I stretching here?
yes but when the garage was torn down they jacked up the entire house and built a new floor underneath so now the first floor is the second they were planning a third… but that’s another story.
Dick has to get rid of Tess. She the one who always gets him into trouble. First it was the circus, then the Concert Hall and now she is pushing him to take part in the Murder Mystery Party. That Chick brings on trouble.
At least this one didn’t hit Tess, and I hardly think it’s the “Blue Diamond of Mondazi” this time !
For those who want to see the same action back in the 2007 Queen of Diamonds, look here:
http://www.gocomics.com/dicktracy/2007/03/05/
Skip back to the day before and see more of the action.
I’m afraid this story is a near replica of a Max Collins 1990 tale with Tracy acting in a movie in Hollywood (playing himself). In that one we had the Blank as we will “just up ahead” sort of carbon copy style, and Tracy instead of going to work (on Tess’s urging), decides to be an “actor” !
Locher knows the earlier players well, he did the art for Collins. Hot dogs ! - It was so good then … why not have it again ?
Looking at the angle of entry of the rock through an “upstairs” window, you’d have to think those guys passed by Tracy’s house atop the ladder of a Fire Services truck (?)
WW, - Good to see you retain your great form, and I note that you gave us a great “reminder” from days past with the use of the “MAGPIE” word. A designation a certain poster from Woodstock used to “describe” many posters here
That diatribe is now just a distant memory although some may still wonder on his etymological justification.

This should turn out to be exciting (in a week or so). Tracy’s house looks different. Where’s the attached garage in front?

Maybe that isn’t Tracy’s house? Maybe he’s bored with Tess?

ok do we actually count his as Tracy’s house if so the count is at 5
Stale bread tossed from an AMC pacer through the window of the wrong house can this story get any more exciting !

Tess asked Dick to hang the curtains. He’s not very good with such as that. His skill is police work.
