Actually if you flush with the lid up, tiny droplets of water are splattered for quite a distance, including the ceiling.

I am one of six children; three boys and three girls. Mom and Dad’s rule of the house was that everyone puts the lid down before leaving the bathroom. That way everyone had to lift something prior to using the toilet and everyone had to put something down prior to leaving. Also, we had parakeets that were allowed to fly around inside the house and by putting the lid down we avoided the problem of the birds falling in the toilet.

I need it up; you need it down. I find it down, I lift it up. You find it up … Do you see where I’m going with this?

While we’re at it, which way should the TP be hung on the roller?

I have a rule too. If women do not put the seat back UP, I am not responsible for PEE on the SEAT.

I don’t understand the problem here. When I use the toilet, I have to look to see how the seat is positioned. Why do women find that so difficult?

It’s not hygienic to leave the lid up. So, when you put the lid down,the seat goes down too. See how easy that is.
