Dance your way to the front, Zonk. Aren’t you a celebrity tanner?

Will none of Zonker’s dreams come true?

Right now seems like a good time to go back to 1978. The only good news I saw in election yesterday was a couple of interesting things for women. There are now a larger number of women in Congress than any other time according to news reports. Also, Scott Brown has now managed to be defeated by two different women for the US Senate, a historic first, apparently. Way to go Scott!

Chicago also had the B.B.C. in the 70’s. I tended bar there.

No, if you can read it, she’s saying most of the Short Attention Span American people don’t bother to vote in midterm elections..Which is pathetic considering that that is when we elect the people who run our lives far more than any sitting president ever does.

So glad I never saw this series of strips before. The thought of Zonker aspiring to become a disco sensation and enter Studio 54 is extremely distressing. Had I seen them at the time these were first released I might never have recovered from the heartbreak.

Studio 54 did not become the place to be seen right away. It took years for it to reach the point of being able to limit entry to celebs only. If you try to start out that way, you are just an A-Hole doomed to fail.
