Andy looses out again………………. as all of us do………………

At least one doesn’t trip much when a pebble gets in the way……………..

It looks like the pawns are continuing chatter while they wait for a meaningful piece to make the next significant move….

Do you move your hour hand back 1 hour or forward 23?Does this distrurb the chimes? How do they turn off Big Ben? Or maybe unplug them all except one……………. and then go ‘round in a hurry to get them all plugged back in again……………. careful to keep track of the ones you’ve already changed…………. my ancestors used this time stoppage as a good chance to oil the movements…….. or to change the weights on the grandfather types……….. some of them changed the length of the stick in the sand………….whatever works…………

If you wore an eye shield you would’nt have to be worried about when it got dark outside…………

How do you change the feeding schedules for the chickens so their egg laying cycle is not upset?

Do you milk your cows on a “sun up / sun down” schedule?

How do you reset the roosters?

When we lived in a cave you could set your clocks by the time when the bats went out for the evening……………….

At one time you could that it was time to go to bed when the TV picture changed to snow……………..

Please note that any other kind of nonsense is welcome here, just please make it relevant, whatever that means…..

Well it’s time to go see if the wife has the bed covers warm yet ……………I’m getting sleepy……. yawn…………… I hope she doesn’t snore again tonight…………… I just hope she doesn’t burn me eggs in the morn………………

Well that didn’t work, she had got up to get a cup of and the blankets are cold again…………..

It looks like Flo is stuck between a rook and a knight in a hard place trying to figure things out………..

Maybe the councilor should use checkers in his analogy…..

I hear the tea cup being put the sink…………… I think I’ll try the bed again…………..

What time is it? I think I have the clocks screwed up …………

Well…….. I guess I’ll just go to bed and forget about the time thing……………..

Pshaw……….. I forgot to fill the cats’ bowl………… she’ll be in to wake me before I’m ready to get up…………Oh well……

The guidance guy should reccommend that Andy and Flo get a pet to draw them together and add some humor to their lives…………… they give so much to other people….

AFFI, it is All Saints Day here too, and All Souls Day tomorrow.

I think that Saskatchewan stays on standard time year around. I wish we could too. As farmers, they don’t see the sense of changing the clocks. The sun rises and falls the same time, DST or Standard Time.

AFFI, yes. I can’t wait. I love that song too. We’ll go marching in together, I know that.

In the US we do the time-changing on a Saturday night because Sunday is the day that the fewest people work…and at 2 in the morning cos in most states the bars have closed, so there won’t be any arguments about the timing of last call.

If this were only tomorrow night that I’m up so far past my bedtime, my computer would have told me about an hour ago that it’s not as late as I think….but alas….

Meanwhile… before I fall asleep again…

Number Three, and Gweedo…I don’t post here often, and I don’t want to start yesterday all over again…but I missed a chance to say what I’ve been wanting to say..

So… I posted to each of you after the turn, but on yesterday’s forum…where those who want to see it can do so, and the rest of you needn’t be disturbed.

I do hope you’ll want to go back and read what I wrote to you…I may not come to Andy Capp much, but I feel like I’ve known you both for quite a while….thanks.

’morning, all. I have 3 clocks that reset automatically. Need to reset stove, microwave and wristwatches by hand. Never did really see the use of it, and spent some time each year on a farm. Near as I can see, cows and chickens operate by where the sun is, not by what our clocks say.

I don’t mind getting up to set the clocks at 2am, but after I change the batteries in all 3 smoke detectors I’m wide awake.

I dread changing the clocks back! And until the end of December, darkness comes earlier and earlier. I wonder how people who suffer from chronic depression, handle that? It sure wouldn’t help them any, I wouldn’t think. Of course, I HATE WINTER WITH A PASSION ANYWAY!

And the older I get, the more I hate it. Only redemption is when we get enough snow that our office shuts down for the day! LOL!

A stumbling stone

I am retired and able to, for the most part, ignore the clock.

Bev, Thank you for Jim Croce’s “Time in a Bottle”. I have on my spice shelf a bottle labeled, wait for it, Thyme in a Bottle.

Anniversaries are hard, Gweedo. My dad would have been 95 on October 25th. It’s been 25 years since he died, and I still say Happy Birthday to him.
