I was out from work one year on Dec 7, and when asked why, I said it was Pearl Harbor day and I went and got bombed. I can still remember where I was that day in 41 and how it came over our Philco console radio! That following Monday many young men signed up, unlike the wimps of today that could care less!
I wasn’t born until the following February, but I still remember the blackout curtains and burning corncobs for heat. After the war, we got an oil stove. No basement, so not a furnace.
Yes, you are right ,but the media and the politicians do not tell about these fine young men and women enough. they are quick and often about misdeeds though.

i was 3 1/2 for that DayThat Will Live in Infamy but I still remember the air raids in San Francisco at night as a young child.
