I am the “stuffie doctor” in our house. When my older daughter was about 3, I needed to sew up a small hole on her favorite stuffed animal, a cat she named “Sorry”. I thought it would be cute to put a Band-Aid over where I sewed the hole. 9 years and several washings later, there are still glue marks on the base of Sorry’s tail. Lesson learned.
A well-loved teddy bear tends to get soft over the years as the stuffing gets hugged flat. If you’re good with sewing, it’s worthwhile to open a seam, stuff in more fluff, and sew it shut again.
