Me either! Especially since the youngest Grand daughter is a dead ringer for me, mouth and all! LOL

Times were different. He’s remembering coming home and maybe reading a story or kissing a child goodnight. She’s remembering feeding, bathing, wrestling into PJ’s and getting them into bed before he came home. And that’s after a long day of tending to them. Now Dad’s do equal time when possible.

Michael makes a valid point but like I tell my kids, ask me, don’t raise your voice. I would let him stay up another half hour if he asked nicely and behaved.

I think Jim is just surprised by his wife’s comment.

They’ve traveled from Ontario to either Winnipeg or B.C. [Can’t remember where each grandparents live.] Simple answer: “We are in a different time zone. New rules. Bed. Now.”

If I were Michael’s Mother, I’d let Lizzy stay up a little longer and make him go to bed first for giving me a hard time.

The grandparents have it right! That’s why I stopped at one kid. I can’t imagine going through all the stages again. lol

I always wished we had more then two. Family of four parents and two children is small. My sister/husband desperately wanted children but sister could not and could not afford to adopt. That is why family is small. My children are adults. I can understand why the grandma would not go back she had all the work of children while husband worked all day. Same with me my hubby worked while I raised the children, though I wished we had more. I am beyond babies now. No grandchildren in the future.

Michael looks like he needs his mouth washed out with soap in the second panel
