We never allow the dog on the furniture – period. The cat will sometimes sleep on the bed when I take my nap, but as soon as I lay down she starts to take a bath. Slurp, slurp, snick, snick. After five minutes, she gets tossed out.
Our cats aren’t allowed in the bedroom, but the black and white one gets even with us by running around the rest of the house in the middle of the night like a maniac.
We have a little min-pin/Chihuahua mix that sleeps with us. Every night she tries to ‘dig a hole to China’ in the bed. I finally have to bump her and tell her she’s done!

I always had to kick my Rotti off the bed as soon as she started panting (which didn’t take long) because the whole bed shook.
