So childish. The age-old “fullest glass” syndrome. (She’s got the fullest glass!) They measure everything and as a result get nothing. As it should be.
Sad when you put a price on friendship isn’t it?How much of that 55 was a tip? 30 cents? That means you spent $18.00 on Connie. She probably had a glass of their cheapest wine to wash down the greasy food from the buffet you took her to. Did they even ask her where she wanted to go? $25. doesn’t go far at Chili’s either, maybe for one person but certainly not Joy.They are both ungrateful people anyway.
Oh, dear heavens, this SOOOOOO reminds me of my best friend’s sister! My best friend is the sweetest, most generous lady who ever walked the face of the earth, and her sister is the diametric opposite! This is JUST the sort of thing the sister would say! Oooooooh, the tales I could tell on THAT piece of work! That sister (and her smarmy-mouthed husband, who’s way too much like Burl for comfort, and their two entitlement-minded, spoilt-rotten daughters and THEIR new families) should definitely move to Crustwood!
Reminds me of a co-worker whose salary is one of the highest in my department.. However because he is I would say overly aggressive in the saving He has a lower take then most of us. Mind you everything he has is payed off too. I have no problem with that. Except we were suppose to go to all you can eat sushi well the price went from 22 to 25 dollars. He won’t pay 25 dollars but implies I should be happy to pay the 50 for the both of us.
What really chaps them is that now their stuck. $25 won’t come close to feeding those two at Chili’s. But never fear. They’ll eventually realize that they can regift the $25 to someone and go along with them to Chili’s where they can con the sucker into paying the bill because said sucker has a gift certificate.
MEANWHILE……Ms. Larson really hit that back wall outta the park in this installment: EVERY single thing written back there is a real hoot!! Norman Rockwell could’ve painted this scene (his intestinal fortitude du jour a contributing factor) and it would’ve looked completely credible!!

What makes this strip funny is that everyone has know at least one person who has some of the traits of the Pennys.
