My neighbors wanted to show me how to can my soup; I told them that would be a waste of time because I usually have eaten it all 2 days before I can make more.
This is about the only thing I like about winter anymore. My wife makes pots of soup, chili, salsa, etc… We put it in smaller containers and freeze it and it makes for good quick meals on lazy days. Plus it makes the whole house smell wonderful.

Soups and stews should be made in a huge pot. since they get better with age, the more leftovers, the better.
