Did everyone have trouble with the site this morning, And I didn’t get a new comic today, And I had to sign in again! I thought my computer had crashed, yelled for husband to come and fix it, we finally got the GC’s message.I don’t know what I would do without this forum, how would I get to talk to and hear from all of you! Scary thought.
My Daughter’s late Guillermo was a TA, she would walk thru the room wafting clouds of white hair behind her. Dusting took place in their house every day! The Dining Room window looked out on a walkway, so they always kept the blind closed, when they moved we pulled up the blind and it looked like they decorated for Halloween, The window was totally covered in cat hair! She was a sweetheart cat. The morning of the day we had to take her in for her final journey over the rainbow bridge, she played with her mice and kept bringing them to us, when we threw them back at her, she again brought them to us. We finally understood we were to keep them for safekeeping. She was so ill with cancer, but she wanted this final act, and so we complied. When the mice were all in the toy box, she climbed in her cat carrier. She knew.
Note: In response to Shika’s suggestion, Friday will be Casual Calico Friday. and I promise that’s it! Unless someone of you all want to take up the “days of the week bit”! lol
Thank you all for your kind wishes. After a couple of hot baths (unfortunately, no epsom salts or bubble bath, just my last dribble of baby oil) my knee cleaned up OK, was protected by my slacks. Knuckles healing up, but still a bit swollen and sore, lip not as fat, but I have acquired a beautiful black eye from the impact of my glasses frame hitting my cheekbone. I now have to explain to everyone that, no, Paul didn’t hit me (he knows better and besides, he doesn’t have a truly violent bone in his body).
beviek: Those were our first 2 kittens, Buckwheat and Spot in 1987. Sadly, we lost one to cancer and one to feline leukemia within 10 yrs. Thanks for the memories.
Miss Autumn went in to get spayed yesterday and it turned out that HE is not a girl and was already neutered! I must have slept through sex education, he sure looked like a girl to me! Poor guy had to go without breakfast for nothing and ride around in the car half the day while I did my errands (I am 40 miles from the nearest town for shopping). I did put a can of food in his cage at least. Now I am calling him Petey. As my 2 girls are still mean to him and he really doesn’t like my Freddog, I am thinking it will not be so hard to turn him over to his new home.
Beviek – those hugging kitties are just too cute! 2old – I had a cat like ‘put it back’ cat. Amazing how much fur you can comb off of one of those. I’ve really enjoyed your cat breed of the day. Thanks for sharing all the pictures – I always enjoy them.
LadyKat, I had to go back to yesterday’s Ten Cats to see what happened to you. Ouch!! Falls happen so quickly and never when we are expecting them. I am glad you are “only” sore this morning but sounds like a dentist appointment is in the near future. Arnica gel really helps with the bruising.
LadyKat, hope you’re soon on the mend. I was taking groceries out of the back of the car about a month ago and must have overbalanced and down I went, one skinned knee and one very bruised knee. And no snow or ice to blame it on!
2Old Cat (Red Dwarf) is gorgeous and he’s sooo right!and I will try really hard to restrain myself on the Casual Calico’s tomorrow – lol -LadyKat glad you are better today, and hope that shiner goes away soon!Jessegooddoggy – lol – sounds like something I would do. Petey is going to a good home, and you will always know you saved his life. Good Doggy indeed!
Has anyone ever thought of a Grumpy Cat Day? I love the Grumpy Cat pictures almost as much as the Ten Cats.
I have never been able to post any pictures although the process has been explained many times. I just can’t seem to get it. But I love seeing all the pictures posted here.
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the great Ten Cats day. Please do not have any more accidents.
I agree with rikkie tavi: I’ll take all of the wonderful cat/kitten pics posted here over grumpy cat any time.
Loved all of today’s pictures. Some made me laugh, a few warmed my hard little heart.
All packed and ready to hit the road early tomorrow. The cats know we’re leaving – the minute I get out the suitcase I get the staredowns and evil eyes. Until Kathi comes over and loves all over them – then when we get back, it’s “who are you and where is the nice lady who plays with us and smells nice?”
I hope no one thinks I was wishing for Grumpy Cat instead of all the great pictures here. How about as well as? I love the cats, all cats. Just call me crazy cat lady.
gweedo: She’s next door. She has 3 fur children that I take care when she’s gone. One comes out to play, one just comes out for food and I rarely see the third one. Hers are all girls, mine are boys.
I just love all of these kitties! My sister-in-law has ten or eleven (they are mostly outdoor kitties…somehow they always land at her kitchen doorstep!). She’s never seen a cat she didn’t like!
