Red and Rover by Brian Basset for December 04, 2014
Transcript:
Doesn't Lucy in Peanuts say she always waits until January to eat snowflakes? Yep. But I'll take these early December frozen treats from the sky any day of the week! Why's that? Because there are less pollutants in the atmosphere from people making fires, which are then carried back down as contaminated rain or snow.

I always dread the first cold day of the year when the base board heaters start and fill the room with the smell of burning dust.

Then there was the ultimate pollutant of the snow in the 1950’s. Nuclear testing. It was the reason my Mom stopped making snow ice cream that year.
