You can’t sit on Santa’s lap that way; you can only sit on the track on which he’s doing laps. A lap (the kind you run) is not a tangible thing. Which really makes this a kind of dumb cartoon.

“Santa’s slap”? I’m sure the old boy has never slapped anything more than a mosquito. :-)
Just think of how readers in other countries, where the “lap” you sit on and the “lap” you run translate into two different words, feel about it.
