That is how you con the man into cleaning the windows.

As far as I can tell, Earl did a chore without being asked to.

Back when smoking was very common, I watched a waitress clean the windows of the local restaurant.It went from nearly dark to bright daylight wherever the squeegee went.They cleaned the windows every shift, so that was how dirty and tarred up it got in that amount of time.

She finally got him to do some work.

Patient: “Doctor, it hurts when I touch here.” (touches arm) “And when I touch here.” (touches neck) “And when I touch here.” (touches forehead) “And when I touch here.” (touches knee) “What could be wrong with me?”

Doctor: “You have a broken finger.”

You get a similar result from having cataracts removed. It’s really noticeable if you have them done on different days and in between you close one eye then the other.
