    True, but only fallen trees and what the trees discard – no need to cut them down. For example, my parents had a house on 2 acres. 1 acre for house and garden, 1 acre for forest. The 1 acre was much more than enough to heat the house, just with fallen wood. We also had outdoor bonfires, and gave some away.

    It’s like in “Prince Caspian”, where the tree people comb their “hair” with their fingers and throw the twigs on the bonfire.
