Shouldn’t there be someone in the background with a dented tuba playing “Hail To The Chief”?

    Heidey-ho… and shopping we go…

Come on, Cleo pals… in virtual Cleveland we can still wander carelessly down the grocery aisles…

while we comment on the April 8th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”

I was just about to link you to the strip on Sherpa…. but I got disconnected.

Just refreshed, and saw that Dennis and Tigressy already gave the links.

Hi guys …. did you notice whether they still have TP, too?

It’s good to be able to do a little shopping in a comic strip.

Then again… maybe they’ve heard to stock up, even there…

Cleo certainly seems to be hoarding kibble.

BTW… My connection has been pretty good the last few days, so I was surprised

Mentioning it here partly because it reminded me to say…

luckily, I had already highlighted and copied my post.

I always do that… sometimes several times during a long post, if I remember…

and before every refresh, and every time I’m just about to hit the “comment” button.

If you haven’t heard me say it before….

I highly recommend that practice to everybody.,

    If anyone doesn’t know:

Control A, control C … or right click, “select all”, and “copy.”

To re-enter it in the comment box… Control V, or right-click and “paste.”

In some browsers, including Firefox, you can even use the Edit menu, and it’ll just copy the comment box, not the whole page.

I’ve forgotten the Mac equivalents but you guys probably already know. Command key instead of control?

In any case, if you have a typo, you can quickly delete your comment, with the red trashcan, and re-post, or if there’s a glitch, you won’t lose your text.

It becomes second nature, till you don’t even realise you’re doing it… until it saves you.

What’s missing at your grocery stores? At mine – toilet paper, tissues, sanitizer, all sorts of pasta, canned goods, rice, flour (all sorts), certain breads.

Making a trip today or tomorrow while I still can with my hubby. On Sat. they’re trying to restrict the number of “guests” you can bring with you. They’re already limiting how many people can be in the store at the same time. We’ve found that early to mid afternoon is good. Opening is crazy jammed.

Not going to get into whether that’s actually Scooter, in the Ballard St strip above…

Somebody called him that, so OK…

but it reminded me of this strip, which is one of my favorites…

… Scooter is, as usual, quite a bit bigger, and his human “father” is “Papa”…. though Jerry Van A is never totally consistent anyway.

And this one, with another speechifying pet Dad….

showing that the practice isn’t exactly unheard of in the neighborhood:

You can tell Cleo is living in a comic strip. In my world only Home Depot allows doggies in the store.

    Clean up on aisle 42!

Cleo doesn’t want Clara to know that the evil cat put all that kibble in the cart, so she’s pretending like she doesn’t know anything.
