Shocking!

I was once 30 feet away from a lightning strike. I couldn’t see or hear a thing for a good ten minutes.

It’s gonna be months before he hears anything.

When I used to live in S. Florida, I’d hear the sizzle of lightning strikes way more often than I cared for during storms! Gave up carrying an umbrella so I wouldn’t be one of those walking lightning rods!

When I was going to LSU, my roomie and I lived in the stadium dorm. One afternoon as we were walking to the dinner hall, lightning struck one of the light stanchions on the stadium, about 50 feet from us. the light and sound were instantaneous and we, along with about 30-40 other students right in the area all hit the ground immediately. Closest I’ve ever been to being struck by lightning and it wasn’t pleasant at all.
