Dusty, when you get that barbecue going and that meat cooking can I come and join you for dinner? I’m sure Carl will be delicious.

For some people, Do Not Eat begins once the animals have been pets. For others, it begins once they’ve been named.

Even the names can turn someone off. Beef, Pork, Sheep, Goat, Chicken and Fish are a mix of names of Animals and names of Meat. I know a steak-lover who will eat “Beef” and “sausage” and “mutton” but never Chicken, Goat or Fish … only because those are the names of living animals which makes it too hurtful.

I don’t think it even matters if someone has lived on a farm. People can take exception to anything anywhere.

Joe Allen, I’m still laughing about your comment days ago about how nobody could ever count on Dusty to save some grilled steaks for weeks til they return from safari - or just for an hour, for that matter. And a couple of other recent remarks.

Maybe something about comics turns people into Comics?
