Today’s strip is pretty bleeep ugly looking.
On another note…umm..DUH!?
What did you think Johnny Nothing was dressed up as Flattop?
Like…this is such a waste of 3 panels…
The content of the posts seem like a ‘reflection’ of the story pacing - ‘NOTHING’ is happening ! - So, difficult to find anything to say… positive or critical !
It’s not unlike Tracy ‘standing’ in the Circus ring last year, hanging around for TWO months getting death notes and waiting on finger print results, with Mr. Pops in the wings. It was a painful time when readers evisaged Tracy using all muscular control to hold back from going to the bathroom. More than enough time for ‘female relief’ … FBI Agent Karen Ennenn to fly in all the way from Washington DC.
Mercifully, this time it will only be a month as they’ll be handing out and shuffling scripts around but without noticeable ‘forward’ movement to the story line.
This must be the most ‘difficult part’ of Locher’s job … finding ‘small talk’ for three weeks while attempting to sound original. And unless Brozman commits a boner or two (like a six string violin) the deadened pacing will serve to frustrate and stifle comment.
Fifty four daily panels to fill with only repetition. Readers can hang up their ‘six guns’ until the 23rd. In the meanime, we can hope for better looking cats on the Sunday page.

I noted you were on target about the date for the rock through the window. Are you able to review the proofs ahead of time?
Now again I must chime in on something that should be obvious to every one but Locher.
A few days ago we saw Tracy going over his lines at home
( Someone even asked how he had gotten a copy of the script)
Did they play the old bait and switch on him or did Tracy seriously not know the play was about the Case of the Mysterious Blank when reading it the first time?

If DT is suffering from PTSD, that could explain a lot.

DT is just plain suffering, and so, as a result, are we….

Why would anybody yell “Quiet on the set” for a rehearsal of a stage play?

Wait, what? Did I miss something? When did they say it was going to be televised?

I certainly hope so. That cat (?) was a bit scary to look at. I kinda felt sorry for him.

It’s at this point of stagnant progress that I am forced to go back to the original DT strips to remind me why I endure this pain.

Tracy, you look like you’ve reverted to the sixties – all right, uptight, out of sight! Can you dig the rehearsal?

I think he was informed it would be about one of his old cases. Not sure which case though.

“Fran Redrum” spelled backwards is “Murder Narf.” We can discuss this for a few days.
Doc note, I dissent, a fast never prevents a fatness. I diet on cod.
That should start the ball rolling. Palindromes are about as much fun as anyone can have with all their clothes on.

The villain’s name was “Frank” Redrum.
And I’m with Gilbillvolume 1…
Continuity in a daily comic strip should be the “norm”.

This story line reminds me of one of about 25 years ago called “the cloning of Mumbles,”
