Girl: Miss Plainwell...?
Miss Plainwell: Of course. Go ahead.
Frazz: Yeah, it's like she's got a sixth sense.
Girl: It's nice that she didn't make me embarrass myself.
I always let kids go……I personally do not like having to go and not being able to go. Sure some kids may abuse the privilege, but that can be tracked eventually, and it means nothing to a little student who needs to go…Let ’em go…
that brought back an old memory. In grade 3, I was too painfully shy to ask to be excused. I’d walk up to the teacher’s desk but be unable to express my need. Like Miss Plainwell, she grasped the situation immediately and excused me.
I almost embarrassed myself in the first grade. Had to ask the teacher’s permission to use the restroom; yet even though I had received her permission, a classmate jumped out of her seat and ran to the bathroom while I was on my way there from the other side of the room. It was a lot easier for me to contort when I was a kid.
Wooded trail,…..All teachers have an eye in the back of their heads,,,How else would you be able to teach and manage a classroom at the same time? puddleglum, yeah that’s pretty much the general policy now…Electronics has altered the classroom….

2nd graders can get away with this — in middle school it usually means something else altogether (and I’ve seen it).

I used to tell them, go ahead—but leave the phone on your desk. It was amazing how many suddenly lost the urge to go.

This can be explained by the picture- she must have one eye in the back of her head… only one is showing in front. =)
