My shrink might call it “denial” but I say we are in Egypt anyway. LUVH8, if it were a face, how come I can’t hear its voice? Heck, it ain’t even moving. Next thing you’ll tell me is that Income Tax was last week.
How come my calendar from “Bill’s Body Shop” doesn’t have Bill’s body on it?
Today’s cartoon is dedicated to one of my readers, Johanan Rakkav, one of the big wheels in the Birdbrains audience.
About the word, “axel.” It is spelled correctly; it’s just the wrong place for it… like a lot of the faces to be found in this one.
As most of my regular (I hope you are all regular) readers know, I often put little “extras” (well, I think they are) to be “discovered” in my toons. There are many more faces to be found in this one as well. Faces and misspelled words are just the beginning of such extras. Someday, I’ll let you in on the hidden music which, if played backwards, sounds like the screams of coeds during a panty raid.
Thank you all for reading this greazy, masspelled cartune.
Carmy -
I put two faces in the rag. Still, very good!
LuvH8 -
John is the target of this cartoon. I thought it best to express that visually. Did I miss the mark? Or should I have dedicated it to Mark somebody? :)
By the way, my hat’s off to those of you who discovered “Axel.” I’m surprised no one is offended by the fact that ancient Egyptians didn’t have motors… oh, well, I tried.
Once again, thank you all for reading this anachronistic cartoon,
Thom, I hear music whenever I read your strip. But now I am seeing apparitions & orbs! Like the one in the calendar checking out the model! But I don’t want meds for it…….I like it the way I see it! LOL
Chief Thom Thom, I’m humbled; you actually managed to pull this off. And it may set a record for weirdness in this strip in the process. It even has a “bird”, sorta: what at least some of the British would call that fair lady on the calendar. (Nice puns in the acknowledgements, too, as well as in the comments.)
Alas, Pharaoh John and I look way too much alike at this stage of my life. :( Where did Thom get those secret photos of Yours Truly? ;)
Sure, chariots had motors: anywhere from 1 to 4 horsepower, depending on the maker and the period. (At least I think the minimum was 1, unless I’m misled by the perspective of Egyptian art.)
I thank you, Thom, and raise 8 oz. of CocaMocha to you and to all here.
@Lonewolf: Glad you frequent it, and seem to like it!
@Shikamoo: You could go to this search list and pick out which site best fits your needs. I don’t know if I’m listed on any, outside of ZabaSearch or the White Pages…and I’m not telling. :)
The first site suggests this:
Probability of name “John Wheeler”:
John (male): 3.271% (about 1 in 30)
John (female): 0.012% (about 1 in 8333)
Frequency of John (in either sex) is: 1.6415 percent
Frequency of Wheeler is: 0.051 percent (about 1 in 1960)
This name is probably held by 1 in 119451 people.
This name will occur with probability 100.0 percent in 300000000 people.
This name will occur with probability 50% in every 82797 people.
There are probably 2511.5 people with this name in 300000000 people.
So according to the first source there are probably 2512 Americans named John Wheeler…but there is only one Johanan Rakkav (because that isn’t a name listed on the Census).

A two faced rag? I’m offended!
Actually my favorite quote responding to an accusation of being two-faced is Abraham Lincoln’s: “If I were two faced, would I be wearing this one?”
