If memory serves, Calvin and Hobbes looked for the Yukon on a globe. They thought it would just take a few hours’ journey walking form the United States. So Snoopy here thinks it will take him no time at all to get to Petaluma.

Dogs can talk to each other. He can ask another one for directions along the way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S-N7xWWrbo

Lucy cares. She just expresses it in an orally poisonous manner.

They’re not in Kansas City, either, although Snoopy’s sister Belle was at one point, and Snoopy visited her while ending up here accidentally while trying to get to Wimbledon. (One of the all-time great “Peanuts” lines was Snoopy wondering “I wonder if you can get greeting cards in Kansas City?” The home of Hallmark Cards!)

Shouldn’t Charlie have gone to Petaluma with him? Isn’t Snoopy his dog? (I’m taking this too seriously, aren’t I?)

I remember Dennis the Menace where he was trying to plan a hike on a United States map. “We start here, than follow this line over here.” “You just crossed the Rocky Mountains.”
