Tssssssssssssssssss! LA Lakers' shooting guard Kobe Bryant hisses when he wants the ball! Tastes just like... Hippo! Teddy Roosevelt supported a 1910 bill to import African hippopotamuses to meet the US demand for meat! Wasabi was originally paired with sushi to kill bacteria and parasites in the fish.

Interesting tactic, Kobe. Now ALL the N.B.A. knows it. As for Theodore and hippos, I guess the plan didn’t go so well. And they still serve wasabi with sushi (it’s even served with pickled ginger).

That think is so chilly that I’m sure it did work,

I can’t see hippos being raised in the farm belt. Or anywhere, actually. They are some of the most dangerous animals on the planet. Farmers and ranchers need docile, predictable animals. That does not describe a hippo.

Although Teddy did some good things for the country and the environment before all was said and done, he was also a war-monger and indiscriminate killer of beasts, simply for the thrill and trophy of it. A bit too much of the “bully!”

So, what kills bacteria and parasites in the sushi now?

When I was sattioned in Thailand I ate water buffalo steak. Water buffalo are a lot more docile then hippos.
