We do still have cable. After spending two bloody weeks trying to make a simple adjustment with a company (un-named, but it begins with a C) we were about ready to toss the entire business.
We’ve got a dish. When we moved 11 yrs ago, the cable company said we couldn’t get it because we were more than 300’ from the street..I’ll pay you next Tuesday for some waffles yesterday.
I got rid of Dish Network about 5 years ago. Got tired of paying $120/month for 200 channels of “reality” shows. Between the 19 over the air channels I get, my expanding DVD/Blu-ray collection, Netflix, Hulu Plus, and various online podcasts, I already have more than I have TIME to watch, and saving a ton of money in the process! Don’t miss those “cable” channels AT ALL!

I have an antenna and get 40 some-odd channels for free. I have a life and parking in front of the TV all day to justify the cost isn’t part of it.

Am I lucky? I used to live a rather charmed life. Apparently ones luck only holds for so long before the slide down starts.
