Newbery award?Um…. I don’t think so.

Newberry’s, the now defunct chain of five and dime stores?Maybe… if they ever come back to life.

And why do you think she has to follow your example, and why do you think she has coffee in the first place? (it is not the only hot drink AFAIK.)

My mother came from the Old Country where they started children on coffee at a very early age. I remember having coffee and a cookie whenever I wanted to.

ah yes the Newbery Award for children’s literature – she’s a shoe-in!

At the moment, coffee is good for you – and Trout needs all the good she can get. With demented clown zombies, you have to go for some other award, Agnes.

I always assume she’s drinking hot chocolate.

To get a Newbery award, the turkey has to be the protagonist’s beloved pet. And then it has to be ham-fistedly killed off near the end, without any foreshadowing or narrative purpose.

To ensure cohesion, make sure all surfaces are oil free and use lots of epoxy.

Agnes should add drawings of her dresser friends. They could be part of the demented clown zombie story.

Agnes has so many talents and possible futures that we need to clone her for the betterment of humanity.
