Even the Mantis can’t understand the problem!

What if it were a non-poisonous snake?

Fascinating creatures!I hope I see the offspring of the mantis that hung around my front window last fall. I think they should be hatching soon, if she ever had a nest.

Boog will be sent to the office because you are not allowed to pray at school.

Considering the reactions from the other students things will get very interesting when it decides to fly.

I like praying mantises.

I think Jim has put one of his former teachers in the strip. Quite a compliment to the teacher!

Spiders suck up whatever there is to suck up in a praying mantis leaving white bodies of praying mantises behind. I think praying mantises are interesting, but they do eat good bugs as well as bad ones.

Teacher looks more like Mrs. Alfred E. Newman.

I was thinking she looked like some country singer from the Fifties or Sixties, but I can’t put a name on it because the hair’s different. Kitty Wells? Brenda Lee? I are flummoxed.

I remember pulling one off my back when I used to live in Savannah, Ga. Didn’t sting me, but I did had to put on clean underwear after I saw what it looked like!

What a bunch of wienies in that class.

Strange to see green chalkboards. Even rural schools have had whiteboards (dry erase) for decades and now many have “smart” boards which also interact with computers.
