Doctor: Nothing to be alarmed about, Ms. Harvey. Kids do this sort of thing all the time. I'm sure whatever your Jimmy's gotten lodged up there, we can get it out.
I don’t get it. I understand there’s a cat up the kid’s nose, but surely that’s not the joke? If so, what would be the point?
He mentions “Ms. Harvey”, and that the kid’s name is “Jimmy”. Usually that would mean the artist is referring to an adult named “James Harvey” or “Jim Harvey” – possibly someone who, in the last 20 years, put something he shouldn’t have up his nose.
Or maybe the doctor (who obviously hasn’t seen jimmy yet) is in for a big surprise when he sees it’s a cat? If it’s just “a kid got a cat stuck up his nose, don’t kids do the darndest things??” I’m going to be disappointed. But I guess the fact that I have to have the joke explained to me has already done that.

well, in my long ago nursing career, the worst I ever had to worry about was seven kernels of dried Indian corn. This is epic.

So these kids were hanging around a flag pole in the middle of winter and a cat walked by – the rest is legend.

So is he starting to repeat comics?
jud03005 almost 10 years ago
At first I thought it was Spiderman’s hand, but I wondered why it was giving me the finger. Glad the other commenters said what it really was.
