I was touched by the simple but direct way you recapped the events that resulted in your becoming a part of the LuAnn team.

Thank you for sharing, Karen! You clearly have a gift for expressing yourself in writing. It’s a pleasure to finally get to know you. Wishing Greg and mother and you and your loved ones all the best – and send our love to Luann as well! :-)

Dads and Daughters are beautiful things. My "Luanns have grown and left the nest; one married her French boy and is a graphic artist in Toulouse and the other is a hotel executive in Detroit and will marry her college sweetheart this summer. As cliched as it sounds, it really doesn’t seem that long ago that they were thirteen and II had all the answers…

Thanks for sharing the history of Luann! I have been reading the comic for as long as I can remember. I was four when the comic first came out, so maybe since I was about eight or nine did I start reading it. It’s nice to know that the comic will live on, even if your father decides to retire. I grew up with this comic, and I hope that my daughter will as well.

I only read a very few comics, but Luann has been a favorite for many years. I really like the compelling story lines, but mostly I love it because it often makes me laugh out loud. I really enjoyed reading your bio, it sounds like you are a chipette off the ol’ block, and I look forward to reading and laughing out loud with Luann for many more years!

So Luann will grow up to be a teacher and marry someone she knew in high school. But 17 reptiles for pets? That would NOT be believable!

Excellent story lines and excellent drawing! Quite a team! You know, with the right cast, your characters and story lines would be a great TV sitcom. Seriously!

Horses are great for pubescent girls. As my daughter’s female riding instructor said, “Isn’t it good knowing that if your daughter gets the urge to wrap her legs around sweaty animal that it’s her horse?”
