That middle picture, where the word dorks is spray painted on the door? That happened here in my hometown. You know you’re big time when you’re in the comics!

The first pic – with bridge & crowd – looks like my city of Pittsburgh. With PNC Park next to the Clemente Bridge? Tea Party? But the location is wrong – Tea Party was downtown, not on the North Side.

Fine poem. Never read this before. I wonder whether Lowell George had this in mind when he wrote ‘Willin’ “, and added in the smuggling and drug references from personal experience.

Susan001, yes, as well as the ones who fed the frenzy that led to it. Great one, Pab. Anyone reading this who has children, of any age, should by them a book of Langston Hughes poetry. You owe it to all the ones who came before, and all those yet to come…

If a Leftist can equate a Tea Party rally with the Oklahoma City bombing, then a Rightist should be able to equate Obama with Stalin. Unfair is unfair.

Well done, Pab. Langston was a fine, wise, and funny poet.

peachyanddanny, I thought of “Willin’” too. Wouldn’t be surprised to learn that Lowell had read the great Mr. Hughes.
