For many of us, ‘Mom’ is now a fond memory, and not someone we can celebrate with. What I do each year in my mother’s memory is donate to the American Cancer Society, in the hopes that someone else’s mother will benefit from the research.

Now Luann, REMEMBER how HARD this all is, the next time you and Quill are feelin’ frisky!!;-)

Happy Mother’s Day to all of us whose children are no longer among us. I know it’s a rough day.

Most mothers cut corners. The laundry isn’t done every day, it’s not separated by color, ironing is only done for the parents’ clothes, nothing is folded if it’s not necessary for it to be folded. The bare minimum done most days. Even when my mother didn’t “have to” work outside the home, she wasn’t “Supermom,” and I doubt anyone else is, really.

And, like most chores, will have to be done for another 40 or 50 or so years….

In my own experience, laundry isn’t that tough. It’s the million other tasks of motherhood that make mothers awesome! Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!

doing something once is not as impressive as doing it for a lifetimeunless it’s something which shouldn’t be done at all, of course.laundry doesn’t fall in that latter category

Everyone still has a Mother. She just might not be here any more. Some of us might not yet BE mothers, but to them also…Happy M-Day! My best treat was a card yesterday from my 2 great grandkids.
