Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for April 23, 2015
Transcript:
Francis: Nate, you can't write about flying monkeys at the battle of Shiloh! Nate: I told you, Francis, I'm using them as a metaphor! A metaphor for war itself! Francis: So war is like a flying monkey? Nate: Right. And peace is like mint chocolate chip ice cream. Francis: Hence the scene in the Ben & Jerry's factory. Nate: Bingo.

Nate’s writing and storyline are good and accurate, but he has a huge misunderstanding of which things go well with what. When you think about peace, when would you think of mint chocolate chip ice cream?
