Today’s paronomasia is pretty low. It was very prudent of Cartoon-Boy to stay of sight rather than making his usual last-panel appearance,to absorb all the abuse being heaped upon him. Pig is dumbfounded. (Some may think that last word pleonastic….)

If I was cartoon boy’s boss, I’d dock his pay.

Paris has a way with words….or should I say Toon Boy?!!!

But without the docks the doctors would have to test the water temp by sticking a toe in.which would mean that between the Docs they’d have a pair wet socks.

I don’t have it handy at the moment, but one of my favorite episodes of “Tumbleweeds” was when the tribe’s Medicine Man was talking about hunting buffalo: “To once more scrounge around where those fuzzy brown clowns are found to abound!” I’ve wondered more than once if Pastis read that one a few too many times…….
