This reminds me of the arc when Agnes was in camp and all the counselors were nice and friendly. She thought they were recruiting for a cult and was so freaked out her grandma, who discovered the free camp through their church, had to come get her. I don’t think she knows what a good thing is, she’s so used to bad.
But what would she do with money? It would change her life style, her attitude, her very soul. She would leave her Grandma and Trout. She would move into a cooler strip and start living a fast life, taking drugs, omg, nooooo! Give her just a harmonica and and send her on her way, please!

Thank God it’s only a comic; but she’s still stressing me out.

like the time Jed Clampett tried to give away all his money and the pizza guy (or whoever) tore up the check, thinking it was a prank

I had to look up Les Wexner. Apparently he’s the richest guy in Ohio. More evidence that the comic strip is set in that state.
