I do not find this one amusing.
It’s just Leopold being Leopold. He is not a nice mutant, never has been. At least he hasn’t eaten the lady, yet….
Leo! Bad monster! Fortunately cartoons don’t get hurt. (Especially good news for Wile E. Coyote) ;)
Cartoons do get hurt. But they recover just so they can get hurt again for the amusement of the watchers.

Not enough cloud cover to get away with raining cats and dogs both.
I’m waiting for the following panels, when the lady grabs Leopold by his leg and beats him senseless on the sidewalk. He then falls in love ;-).
Not aggressive, defensive.If I was out walking my boy and he didn’t protect me against Leo there’d be no chewie snacks for awhile.
A lady near us rescued a pit bull abandoned near her. It was friendly until the morning it tore her arm off.
