@bawana I concur! Thereâs way too much of the âequalsâ attitude around, and it seems to go hand-in-hand with the âdogs have a ârightâ to be off-leash in public places, regardless of their nature and level of trainingâ attitude. I was on a walk with someone (a PhD no less) who was happy that her dog didnât attack a dog we encountered while both were off-leash. Are you kidding me? There was a good chance that could happen and you let your dog off itâs leash? WTF? And a rotting stick I managed to pick up at the last second was probably all that kept me from being chomped by a pitt bull on a trail run. She just wanted to âplayâ with me, according to her owner who didnât witness the event. Even if a dogâs function is only companionship, humans should be in charge. The âall-positiveâ training mentality doesnât help. Wild dogs use appropriate corrections on each other within their social hierarchy, so why shouldnât dog owners?
Funny strip, btw, assuming heâs poking fun at the absurdity here, which I assume he isâŠ.
dogs live in a pack, humans are part of that pack. Equality donât work in a pack, you have your alpha male, your alpha female, if you try to be equal the dog will try to make you submit. Plus it will say âyou get to go in the house so do Iâ right on the floor.
