Sweetie — Denial is more than a river in Egypt.

He cheated before, he will again. Will he wear a chastity device? I doubt it. Drew needs to make a few decisions – Accept that he will cheat, and set up the pre-nup to allow her to enjoy an ‘open marriage’ and the financial support it provides. The alternative is the device and she keeps the keys, or they go their separate ways.

While cheating is indicative of a serious problem that must be addressed (couples counseling is usually key), it is NOT a sign that it will necessarily happen again. Whether a cheating husband or wife (or fiancé), denial doesn’t help, but neither does assuming the cheater is a dog for life. On the other hand, if they refused to go to counseling together, I’d walk.

Drew has her own shrewish mother who has been telling her all of her life, “Marry a nice doctor, or a dentist maybe. Not orthodox, reform.”

Nice to hear Lila say something nice about her mother.

    Ironically, Lila’s mother never changes.

Reminds me of the old proverb,

A woman marries a man hoping she can change him.A man marries a woman hoping she never changes.
