I remember when woodburning sets were big. And bottle-cutters. You were supposed to be able to make all kinds of crafts with the bottle cutters. My sister was given a bottle-cutter and my brother got a woodburner. I suppose parents today would panic!
We used to have those molds with a heater, you filled the molds with coloured liquid, “cooked” them for a while and when they were cool they made little rubber/plastic figures. We had a set of Peanuts molds. It was really hard to keep the colours from running into each other. The idea was to make pins, hair bands etc.
I still have a wood burning set. My first one I received when I was 12. Had fun with it then (except for a few burned fingers now and then) and I do use the one I have now for a few crafty things, like doing a scene on a wooden wall light switch (with a few burned fingers now and then).
Figures. Lucy was actually trying to be nice, and she still gets no breaks from you commenters. Yes, it turned out badly, but her intentions in this case were completely altruistic. She’s NOT a completely awful person, despite what you all think.

You’re a great guy, Charlie Brown. You just have some weird friends.

So much for autographed bats, but autographed baseballs are easier…

Look like that bat was made of Ash instead of Maple.

Never saw a bat holding a bat before.

Trusting Lucy to etch his name without problems is like trusting her to hold the ball in place.

should’ve had adult supervision, Lucy, when utilizing that wood-burning kit
