you made your own point. most boys don’t carry purses. likewise, most female clothing has fewer pockets, smaller pockets. they think girls are supposed to carry purses.

I wear jackets to deal precisely with this issue. They allow me to keep my wallet close to my skin, my keys safely beside me, and everything else perfectly safe.

Eventually, I forsook button-down shirts for jackets and tees. (I’m an academic, I don’t have to dress up.) I ended up with a jacket collection of nine with sleeves and seven without sleeves. And I’m still expanding it.

What else are pockets for? I do not get what she is getting at. How else do people carry stuff when they do not have a bag or purse? I will not buy pants if they do not have pockets for tissue, etc.. Does she think that pockets are for decoration?

Heck, I wish they made cargo jeans.

My friend’s teenaged daughter complained recently about the girls and women’s jeans --Front pockets are too shallow if they exist at all.-And there are often little button-through flaps on the rear those pockets useless..Who wants to haul around a purse all the time?It’s enough to make a girl borrow her boyfriend’s jeans.

It is easier to wear a load than to carry it. That’s why they invented backpacks and pockets.

I am an electrician and you can’t imagine what I find inside washing machines (usually they stop draining water and debris and things clog up the sewage pump). Toothpicks, cloth fluff, clothespins, hair pins. In a washing machine I found almost a dozen different coins!!
