Now I’ve cut a lot of wheat and bucked a lot of hay.
From can see to can’t see, day after day
I’ve harvested fish from the ocean floor,
Pulling on lines til my shoulders were sore.
I’ve made maple syrup during Spring’s early cold
And searched mountain streams for a trace of gold.
i’ve found life something that’s hard to arrange,
And I’ve seen so many faces ain’t a one looks strange
Yes I’ve been here and I’ve been there
But I’m still a long way from everywhere.
I’ve lived in the city and out on the range
And I’ve seen so many face ain’t a one looks strange.
Hey everybody, I found this really great Annie site. It’s called the Little Orphan Annie Home Page. There are at least three great stories there. One is the Boris Serob arc by Herold Gray and the other two are some excellent Leonard Starr stories. One of them is Starr’s final story.
Leaky, thanks for the beignets. They’ll get me in the mood for going home later on this month. As for the “cafe” I’ll get a frozen Irish at Molly’s when I get down there ;-)
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this web site. There are many strips here missing from my Leonard Starr collection, and now they will be joining them. This makes my day complete, even though our little redheaded heroine will be vanishing in ten more days.
Did you check out the coming temps here that I posted?
I’m sure you’ve seen those “fry an egg on the car’s hood” spots on television?
I presume (I’m not going to say assume and start a flurry of
posts telling me what the word makes of the speaker and the speakee). I presune they use something so the egg won’t stick.

Now………If there was a soft train whistle in the background and a little bit of rain……..you would have a good country song there Slim.

Yeah. Annie’s wake. I said earlier that we ought to have a “virtual” wake for her.
I’m not really sure just what a wake is, but I think she rates a sendoff after all the entertainment she’s given us real(?) people.
mrprongs over 14 years ago
Oh it could be worse. Imagine losing something beloved for many years, beloved by many people, never knowing whatever became of it.

Morning, Anniephans!
Only 10 days left for this fine comic strip.
