Cathy: Things were working perfectly until I quit following your advice, mom. There, I admitted it. Mom: How can I help you? Cathy: I ignored your instructions. I didn't heed your warnings. Mom: I'm happy to fix it, whatever it is. Cathy: I made the exact same mistake I made the last 200 times! Mom: Not a problem. I'll just fix it again and again! Return as often as you'd like, and every single time I'll give you solutions, comfort, and a nice, fresh start! Cathy: Thanks! Motherhood: Home of the original unlimited extended warranty. Cathy: I'll probably be right back here again next week. Mom: My hotline's open 24/7.

How about if you don’t make the same mistake twice and just come up with new ones all the time?

So, who else is planning to call his/her mother today?

Mom, I do so wish you were still here for me to call, send flowers or anything. Instead I send my love to heaven and say that I still think of you always. For all those out there with living mothers, treasure this time and for my fellow “members in loss”, remember that they still love us and always will!

My mother called ME, early, and woke me up to tell me she’s going shopping and thanks for the Mother’s Day stuff. Have a nice day Ma!
I am so thankful that she never gives me “do this, do that” articles.

The real question is, what is going on at Cathy’s house with momma’s boy Irving and HIS overbearing mother for Mother’s Day? Especially while Cathy is away. That would have made a much more interesting story. We already know exactly what happens with Cathy and her mother. This week with them was just like any other conversation they ever had over the years.
